A stone's throw from Galway's 'city of the tribes', and set amidst the celebrated beauty of the West of Ireland. The Twelve, in Barna, " is more than a place to eat and sleep", says the Hotel's General Manager Fergus O'Halloran.
The village of Barna is steeped in history and was home to the original 'Twelve Pins Hotel', which dated back to the 1800's. As O' Halloran explains "A perfect starting point, we thought to create a new hotel at the crossroads, where history and tradition meet luxury and style.
The interior designer for the hotel is Brian McDonald, who has many impressive projects under his belt including Ron Black's Bar in Dublin's Dawson Street, The Beacon, The Morgan, The Morrison, and Trinity Bar in New York's Wall Street.
The Twelve's exciting food and beverage programme is destined to become internationally acclaimed, according to O'Halloran, who himself has worked in some of the finest hotels and restaurants (Le Royal Meridien, Fairmount Hotels, The Four Seasons in Toronto and London and North America's top rated boutique hotel and restaurant, The Wedgewood in Vancouver).
Housed in the building is a world class restaurant and one of the most exciting wine collections in Ireland. The 'hottest seat' in the house is at the 'Chef's Table' where guests can experience the art of great food and wine pairing. The Twelve also musters a state-of-the-art event centre and a private dining room designed for lavish boutique weddings, as well as smaller meeting rooms.
A boutique inspired hotel, The Twelve has been designed with the local neighbourhood in mind. It's a place where the Gaelic speaking locals can sip on their beverage of choice or enjoy freshly baked soda bread or a freshly baked croissant from the hotel's onsite pastry shop. It's also a place where guests can enjoy a full cocktail wet bar in their suite and a host of technological goodies.
All rooms have a 26'' HD plasma which you can plug your laptop into and all have cd and dvd players. All rooms have both Lan and wi-fi connectivity which guests avail of complementary. En-suites are designed with adjustable mood lighting. All guest suites have state of the art door locking systems and digital direct dial telephones.

Part Time Receptionist
The Twelve Hotel is currently accepting applications for a part-time receptionist to complete our Front Office team. Experience in reception is necessary as is fluent English.

Sales Manager -Meetings and Events Co-ordinator
The ideal candidate is:
Highly motivated, client focussed, flexible, reliable, personable, presentable, good communicator, target driven, financially aware.
Special Aptitudes:
IT Literate, Industry Knowledge, Driving Licence
The ideal candidate will have:
. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years sales management experience with a strong hospitality background. A proven track record in hotel sales with experience in advertising, PR, and promotions.
. Excellent IT, financial and administration skills. Experience of web administration/ 3rd Party Accommodation Websites and development an advantage.
. Knowledge of Hotsoft Property Management System an advantage but not desirable.
. Ability to work on own initiative, and strong influencing skills.
Broad spectrum of the job: to participate fully on the management team, which provides the sales & marketing function for The Twelve Hotel.
Key Tasks: Sales for The Twelve Hotel Galway. The main objective will be to gain new Irish clients both Corporate/ Trade & Leisure and keep existing clients, both Trade and Public and to maximise the margin earned. Gaining both accommodations, function & event business to be brought to the hotel to includes Weddings/ private dinners/ corporate meetings & events. It is likely depending on time resources that you will also manage some other English speaking Markets in relation to the trade abroad.

Professional Bar Tenders & Professional Waiters
You will have a minimum of 1 year's experience as a bartender or Waiter in the Irish bar/Restaurant trade. A customer focused and standards driven team player, who is serious about a career in the hospitality industry. Offering a very competitive salary, which will be reflected by your experience within the trade.
