Pizza Dozzina is the name of The Twelve’s latest genius idea – a pizza kitchen and deli serving divine, skinny, traditional Italian pizzas, created in a magnificent MV Napoliforni pizza oven, shipped specially from Naples, the original home of pizza! From a family business in Napoli specialising in stone ovens using stone from Vesuvius, this pizza oven will be the vividly glowing heart of Pizza Dozzina. Dozzina is the Italian for dozen – twelve, natch – and the appropriate price of every pizza on the menu for take away. Pizza Dozzina sits next door to Baccus Bakery, which due to great demand recently expanded, fronts onto the Barna main
road and has a street door for take-aways. From the Pins Bar Bistro dining guests are treated to a tempting view straight into the magical pizza oven at work…
Pizza Dozzina at The Twelve, while all about the pizza, is also showcasing the finest salumi,including artisan salami, mortadella and bresaola, along with excellent
cheeses, olive oils, fresh tomatoes and vegetables, all of which customers can buy to take home, as well as choosing as pizza toppings. With dried meats and cold cuts hanging from the ceilings and a proper traditional Berkel slicer for precision slicing, Pizza Dozzina will soon be the go-to venue too for anyone looking for genuine, delicious ingredients for the finest Italian (and Irish) antipasti platters. Pizza Dozzina at The Twelve is also the first Irish pizza kitchen to be associated with l’Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, the official association of Napoli’s pizza makers.
