REVIEWS FROM GUESTS WHO LOVED OUR PET FRIENDLY HOTEL
"Excellent hotel in Barna, very friendly staff great food and a cosy bar. The room was also top notch. Had a very cosy and comfortable atmosphere and the hotel is dog friendly too. We attended a small wedding reception and found it to be a great place. I'd definitely go back for a quiet weekend away.
“Myself and my boyfriend stayed here with our dog Coco, in their lovely & spacious pet suite. The staff are wonderful and really could not have done anything else to make it better. They had in room eating options etc. The staff are amazing! We had dinner from their fine dining restaurant, lunch and two breakfasts' at the hotel. The food is fantastic! I would go back to taste their house-made muesli alone. We used our time to drive the coastal route from Barna- Carraroe - Roundstone - Clifden and back again. We will definitely be back with Coco! It got a Woof! Woof! from Coco which is 'Pawsitive' feedback :) It got 5 stars from us.
"Fab place. Brought our dog Marvel to the restaurant and he got great attention from other customers. Food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Marvel gives it the 5 stars as well.
“Fantastic boutique hotel in Galway. Will definitely stay here again. We got and was surprised the room was so big. Breakfast was made toorder and was delish! Dinner at the West restaurant was fab as well. The hotel is child and pet friendly. The welcome drink was also followed up with a departure coffee or tea, very nice touch.
"Really nice hotel. Pizzas and bar food is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly which is brilliant for us. Beautiful location and great places to eat nearby if you're just staying for a few nights. Great cocktail list too. Make an excellent Tullamore D.e.w. Whiskey sour. Could probably use a lick of paint or mini update in parts but really enjoyed our time there, so much so we've been twice and will be back again.
“Lovely atmosphere, good food and drink, ample free car parking and pet friendly.
“Wonderful two night stay! We were welcomed for our anniversary with a cake, fruit, and a sweet note. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They are pet friendly (even though I didn't have a dog with me).Great restaurant in hotel. Breakfast was great. The crossiants were better than the ones we had in France! Check out pub across the road, Donnelly's! We will be back!
"Loved this hotel in Barna. Lovely rooms nice bar and amazing food. Great stone baked pizzas. Also you can bring your dog.
"Best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland hands down! Great staff, excellent food and dog friendly. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
"When I was told about this hotel I wasn’t overly excited, but loved the fact we could bring our dog. Any time our dog sees our suitcases she gets sad, but was delighted to see us packing a little bag for her too. On arrival the girl on desk (Clara young female) was a delight checking us in, even though I myself was tired didn’t talk much she was an absolute pleasure. Arriving to the room was incredible, it was big, you’ve to enter two door ways (Incase the dog decides to run, clever idea) there was a huge lobby room for the dog, blanket on the floor and dog bowls you also get complimentary water which was fantastic, there was a wardrobe that looked like a wardrobe until you open it up, it’s a bar with a sink, if you want to wash bowls etc the other room has a huge bed, very cosy, bathroom huge also, the room was huge in general. So that was amazing. Breakfast was great, the morning servers were really nice. It was a pleasure to stay here. There is a little pier beside the hotel, and a small beach 2 minute drive up the road (stand beach) small but the dog loved it. Salt hill beach is about 7 minute drive.
Though I wasn’t excited at first arriving in the room my whole mood changed I didn’t know what to expect. But the experience was fantastic. Our dog loved it all, the hotel really goes out of there way to do all the little things. And cater for dogs as much as they can. Great stay and I would love to go back down and have our dog stay here on her twelveth birthday at the twelveth.

"Stayed here with our dog. Absolutely amazing. Had a great getaway! We all were very spoiled including the dog!

"We have stayed at the Twelve a few times over the past 3 years - in the past always with our Westie, Casper. We brought Casper back again, this time with his human brother who is almost 7 months old. The hotel staff were so friendly to both the boys and ourselves - really making us feel welcome. The room we stayed in had a lounge area, kitchenette with microwave & sink (along with the usual mini bar and tea/coffee), and it was great to have the extra space for all the 'stuff' that you need to bring for a baby and a dog! Breakfast is served in the Pins Bar downstairs, and there is a great variety of fruit, cereal and pastries, and a hot breakfast is cooked to order. Barna is a lovely village, with a great Supervalu store, various other services such as dog groomers, vet clinic, and loads of places to eat within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. We also spent some time visiting some local beaches - the coral beach near Carraroe is a wonderful sanctuary and great for dogs - and just generally taking in the breathtaking scenery around Connemara.
